Who we are

Members in this group are collective of Myanmar community leaders, regional representatives from Myanmar ethnic communities, academia, and social justice activists.

We will be the working group monitoring Myanmar’s internal affairs, and New Zealand’s relations with Myanmar and the ASEAN.

We hope to work in collaboration with the New Zealand Government on its Foreign Relation Policies, our humanitarian missions, and projects in Myanmar. We will focus on researching and advocating for the people of Myanmar with their transition to developing a federal, democratic, and peaceful nation by sharing New Zealand’s lessons learned from history and its Treaty of Waitangi principles - which embrace diversity and inclusion in New Zealand between Maori, Pakeha (NZ European), and all other ethnic communities.

Please join us, make history, and leave your legacy advocating for Democracy and Human Rights in Myanmar.
